This is by far, the EASIEST recipe you could make. Anyone can do this, whether you are looking for something to bring to a Holiday gathering or trying to impress on a date night. This recipe is so good and easy to make, it’s the perfect dessert for a cold night. Recipe down below, enjoy!
INGREDIENTS FOR APPLE FILLING:
1/2 cup of plant-based butter, (unsalted & melted)
You’ll need a little more for buttering the pan
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar, divided
1 teaspoon kosher salt
6 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped small)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
INGREDIENTS FOR TOPPING:
1 cup of all purple flour
1 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 cup of vegan butter
pinch of salt
(Optional: 1 cup of rolled oats)
Whisk together the melted vegan butter with the 3 tablespoons of flour, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt and mix until smooth. Pour the mixture over the chopped apples and mix well to coat. Pour the apples into the casserole dish and spread evenly. Then top with mixed crumbled mixture. Place in oven at 350 and bake for 35 minutes or until top the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Serve with non-dairy icecream, for this recipe I used planetoat vanilla icecream. One of my absolute favorites!
